Your Vanity Table Needs A Little Love! Our Fave Bedroom Makeup Organizers

Love is in the air! So it’s time to show a little love to your vanity table. Your vanity table is more than just a table. It’s the control center of your beauty routine. So why not turn your vanity table into the ultimate “getting ready” spot, the perfect place for self-care and relaxation? Whether you perform your nightly skincare routine, apply your everyday makeup, or both at your vanity table, this spot is bound to get messy and disorganized. Show your vanity a little love this month and get to organizing!

Clean Out Old Products First

Like any space, a deep clean and declutter is necessary. Cleaning out old and expired products or worn-out makeup brushes will make organization all the more effective because you won’t be taking up valuable space with things you don’t use! Similar to food and drink items, a makeup item is probably expired if:

1) The color has changed

2) It smells weird or different from its original fragrance

3) The product is abnormally separating in the package.

If you’re not sure whether or not a product has expired, here’s a quick guide you can follow.

  • Concealer: Expires after one year
  • Cream blush: Expires after one year
  • Liquid eyeliner: Expires after three months
  • Eyeliner pencil: Expires after two years
  • Eyeshadow: Expires after one year
  • Foundation: Expires after one year
  • Lip gloss: Expires after one year
  • Lipstick: Expires after two years
  • Mascara: Expires after three months
  • Nail polish: Expires after one year
  • Powder blush: Expires after two years
  • Lip balm: Expires after one to five years

It’s also important to physically clean your products too, like eyeshadow palettes, powder compacts, and the outside of liquid products. Take a makeup wipe and wipe down the surfaces of the packaging, so they look more presentable on your vanity.

Lastly, don’t forget to wipe down your vanity table drawers and the organizers you may already have. There’s likely lingering foundation stains or powder fallout in these areas.

Separate Skincare from Makeup

Vanity tables are typically divided into two sides, with drawers on each end. Take this opportunity to separate your skincare products from your makeup products. This organization tip can free up some cabinet and countertop space in your bathroom. Your cleanser(s) should stay by your sink or in your shower, but products like toners, serums, sheet masks, lotions, and creams can be stored in your vanity!

Don’t be afraid to display your nicer products front and center on your vanity table. Luxurious creams, high-end perfumes, and other products in elegant packaging can make your vanity table look all the more aesthetically pleasing.

Invest in Bedroom Makeup Organizers

When organizing your vanity table drawers, consider how deep your drawers are. Some vanity tables have drawers that are all the same size, while others have shallow drawers at the top and deeper ones at the bottom. You can fit your taller products in your deep drawers and stand them up inside the drawer, like hairspray, heat protectant, large lotion bottles, etc.

Your heat styling tools may also be able to fit inside your bottom drawers, freeing up more space in your bathroom cabinets. You can avoid tangling your tools’ cords together by rolling up each cord and securing it in place with velcro cord wraps.

For narrow drawers, separate products using acrylic bedroom makeup organizers. Makeup organizers come in countless shapes, sizes, and colors, so there are plenty of choices to fit your style and organizational needs. Our team at Organized with Grace can measure every nook and cranny to make sure your bedroom makeup organizers fit perfectly inside your drawers. These organizers are great because they have small compartments so you can separate your lip liners from your eyeliners, for example.

When your beauty products are organized, you’ll waste way less time looking for that one product you can’t seem to find. Organize your different types of beauty products so that you can get ready faster the next time you’re doing your makeup or your skincare routine before bed!

We also highly recommend the stair-like bedroom makeup organizers. This organizer is great to put on top of your vanity table as they usually have the perfect little square spots to fit your lipsticks. You’ll be able to display your lipsticks adorably while keeping them perfectly organized.

Need to organize your makeup brushes? A tall glass jar is all you need to display your makeup brushes standing up. Put them on top of your vanity table for easy access or inside a deep drawer if you want to put them away.

We would love to organize your space and save you headaches. Don’t forget to request your complimentary consultation right here on our website!
